Shutterworks Photography assists a variety of advertising agencies, developers and architects, families and other clients in achieving their best shots in the Northwest and throughout the country. The studio offers a fun and collaborative environment aimed at understanding and achieving the vision for each project, and is supported by the only 22 megapixel medium format digital camera in the region.

Nothing is ruled out in the concept stage, and as an imaginative shop armed with advanced skills and equipment, exploring exotic techniques to capture bold, compelling photos is encouraged. This is where fun meets dynamic.

About the Photographer

Photographer Michael Notar grew up surrounded by nature and wildlife in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He first picked up a camera at age 12, and hasn’t put it down since. Photography not only became his passion, but also the vehicle for capturing the natural and abstract in the world around him.

Michael studied advertising, food and high-speed photography at the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, earning a BA in Advertising Photography. He has a reputation for never settling and for pushing the available technology to create high-impact photographs.
